I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and I have lived in Massachusetts for over 15 years. I am originally from the south coast of the United Kingdom and I moved to the US when I was 14 years old. Prior to working in the social work field, I received a BA in Theater Design and Technology. I traveled the country for 10 years while pursuing a passion for scenic painting and set design. During this time, I began volunteering and working with youth in after school and summer programs, residential and group homes. This led to my completing my Masters in Clinical Social Work at Boston University as well as a nine-month certification in trauma and stress at the Trauma Center in Brookline, Mass.
Since earning my Master’s Degree, I have had the privilege of working with individuals within group homes, schools, and counseling centers. I have found my most meaningful work to be with individuals experiencing anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and grief/bereavement. I have extensive training and experience as a trauma and grief counselor. My style is integrative, and I tailor my approach to each client.
