‘I believe healing begins with being truly seen and understood. In our work together, we honor grief, trauma, and life’s disruptions without rushing or fixing. You don’t have to carry it alone, we move at your pace toward steadiness and meaning.’
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 15 years of clinical experience and authorized to practice in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Originally from the south coast of the United Kingdom, I moved to the United States at age 14. I earned a BA in Theater Design and Technology and spent over a decade working nationally as a scenic painter and set designer. My work in theater, particularly with youth in after-school and residential settings, sparked a deep interest in emotional expression, identity, and resilience, leading me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Social Work at Boston University.
Following graduate school, I completed a 9-month Trauma and Stress Studies certification at the Trauma Center in Brookline, MA, where I was trained in a body-based, neuroscience-informed approach to trauma under Bessel van der Kolk and Margaret Blaustein. This training continues to inform my clinical work, particularly in understanding the nervous system, the mind–body connection, and the long-term effects of trauma and chronic stress. As a Certified Grief Educator, I have trained under world-renowned grief expert David Kessler. I provide compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals facing loss, significant life changes, and anticipatory grief.
Having personally experienced breast cancer, I bring both clinical expertise and lived understanding to my work with individuals facing serious or chronic illness. I support clients and their loved ones as they navigate the physical, emotional, and relational complexities of diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and uncertainty. This perspective allows me to offer care that is grounded, empathic, and deeply attuned to the realities of medical trauma.
My work is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. I integrate nervous system regulation, attachment-based frameworks, and strengths-oriented social work practice. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about creating safety, fostering self-trust, and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.
Clients often describe my style as warm, grounded, and thoughtful, balancing deep compassion with practical tools and gentle challenge.
