Trauma-informed Psychotherapy
What is Trauma-informed Psychotherapy?
Trauma-Informed care emphasizes safety, choice, collaboration, trust and empowerment. CDC statistics suggest that a large number of people have experienced trauma at some point in their lives. This trauma may include, but is not limited to, abuse, neglect and/or marginalization. The cornerstone of trauma-informed psychotherapy is safety and trust while allowing the client to direct the pace of therapy.
