I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE) and a Certified Child Custody Evaluator (CCCE). Before opening a private practice, I worked in outpatient mental health, offering home visits, school-based therapy and office visits. In this capacity I was a 2010 and 2011 Award of Distinction Nominee at South Bay Mental Health Center in Lowell, MA.
Before I became a therapist, I worked in biotechnology and focused on the safety of medical devices. Although interesting, it lacked the human element that I was looking for in a career. Taking the advice of friends and family, I pursued a graduate degree in mental health counseling and found a career I am passionate about. My knowledge of medicine and science allows me to work with clients to achieve health of the mind and of the body.
After graduating from high school, I went to Barnard College, Columbia University in NYC and lived in the city for 10 years. I found myself drawn back to country life and moved to the area in 2002. In 2005, I attended UMass Boston and completed a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I also have a graduate certification in Forensic Criminology from UMass Lowell.
